Welcome
The Athletic Rock 'n' Roll club was formed in February 2003. The atmosphere is very friendly and rockin'. It has a very large stage, separate disco booth and an excellent huge wooden sprung dance floor. It is not a members only club you are all welcome.
Every 2nd Friday we have a band and DJ but from January 2010 we will be moving to Saturday nights.
There will be a band and disco nearly every last Saturday of the month, prices are £7.50
You can now e-mail us with your views on the club what bands you would like to see etc etc.
The bar area is roughly 25 foot long so its easy to get served, it shuts at midnight. The prices are very cheap with lager and beer starting at about £2.10. House doubles less than £2. The dancing normally finishes at 12:15. In the alcove we some times have a fifties shop selling everything including CDs.
From 2010 we will be hiring the club ourselves so we will have to now do the door and raffle but we feel moving to Saturday nights will bring more support from your selves to help us keep the place going. Its such a great venue and we don't want it to close so please come along and support us.
We have both been into rock 'n' roll for many years, and there was no club in Kettering so we decided to have a go at it. I am (Brian) currently playing drums with The Strollers, hope you have seen us play at your clubs, If not why not? You can check out our website www.strollersrockandroll.co.uk.
